Starbucks is marking the start of fall with a new limited-edition “Peanuts” collection, and the centerpiece is the Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks says is designed to become a cherished keepsake for customers. The 20-ounce cold cup, shaped and painted to look like the beagle wearing a green scarf and an orange knit beanie, arrives at coffeehouses on Tuesday, Sept. 15, alongside nine other collectible items timed to the 60th anniversary of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”
A launch tied to Peanuts’ 60-year milestone
Starbucks chose Sept. 15 to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the animated special, which first aired in October 1966. The date also follows the company’s seasonal return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte in late August, and the release is part of a global merchandise partnership between Starbucks and Peanuts built around the Great Pumpkin theme.

Where the Starbucks Snoopy collection will be sold
The Peanuts + Starbucks collection, including the Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks is introducing this fall, goes on sale at participating Starbucks coffeehouses across the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific markets, according to a Starbucks news release. It is available while supplies last, and the company notes that availability can vary by location, so not every store carrying Starbucks merchandise is guaranteed to stock every item.
In the U.S., select pieces from the coffeehouse collection, along with additional merchandise not sold in stores, will also be available through Starbucks Shop, the company’s online store, for Starbucks Rewards members. A Starbucks representative confirmed the online availability to USA TODAY.
That means shoppers who can’t find a particular item at a nearby coffeehouse, or who live somewhere outside the collection’s in-store markets, may still have a shot at select pieces online if they’re enrolled in Rewards. Members who hold Reserve status get an extra layer of access, with exclusive entry to select Peanuts + Starbucks merchandise beyond what’s offered to standard Rewards members.

What’s in the 10-piece Peanuts lineup
The in-store collection includes 10 collectible items in total, spanning drinkware, accessories and a plush toy. The Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks is selling as the collection’s centerpiece leads the drinkware lineup, while the accessories include a mini tote bag, a bag charm and enamel pins, among other pieces.
Several items in the lineup carry specific prices. A Characters crewneck featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang is priced at $69.95 and is marketed toward staying warm on crisp fall days. A canvas Characters tote, which Starbucks describes as suited for “fall adventures,” runs $29.95. And a corduroy Snoopy hat, pitched as a way to top off a fall look, is priced at $39.95, the same as the cup itself.
The Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks Designed With a Scarf, Beanie and Woodstock Topper
The Snoopy Glass Cold Cup is the newest entry in Starbucks’ Bearista Cup line, the cold-cup format that went viral last year. This version is shaped and painted to resemble Snoopy, wrapped in a green knit scarf. The lid is styled to look like an orange corduroy beanie, and a small Woodstock figure tops the straw. The cup holds 20 ounces, sells for $39.95, and purchases are limited to two per customer.

How the Great Pumpkin and Pumpkin Spice Latte come together
Dana Pellicano, Starbucks’ senior vice president of global product experience, tied the timing directly to two seasonal touchstones. “The return of Pumpkin Spice Latte and ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ are both enduring signs that fall has arrived,” Pellicano said in a Sept. 3 news release. “This collaboration brings those traditions together in a collection designed to celebrate the joy of the season, and we’re excited to share it with our customers. The Snoopy Glass Cold Cup is a special addition to the collection, one that is sure to become a cherished keepsake for Starbucks and Peanuts fans alike.”
The parallel isn’t accidental. In “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” Linus spends Halloween night in a pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear, a kind of anticipation Starbucks is comparing to how customers count down each year for the Pumpkin Spice Latte’s return, and now, for the Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks has tied to the occasion.
Christine Grennan, who led the collaboration for Starbucks, said she approached the project by thinking about the Peanuts fans she has known personally. Growing up, her best friend’s mother, Linda, loved the comic strip so much that the family’s dogs were named Lucy and Charlie, a memory Grennan said shaped how she built out the collection. “I channeled my inner Linda,” Grennan said. “I wanted to do right by the fans and make sure that it all feels really true to the characters and what they love about Peanuts.”
Grennan also pointed to the emotional overlap between the two brands. “Connection is huge across the Peanuts brand, it just invokes such a sense of nostalgia,” she said. “And I think the same is true with Pumpkin Spice Latte, remembering that first sip of PSL with friends. All of those feelings are very naturally intertwined with Peanuts.”
What to know before it sells out
Because the collection is limited edition and sold while supplies last, the specific pieces on shelves, including the Snoopy Glass Cup Starbucks is releasing this week, may not stick around long or appear at every location. Shoppers hoping to get the cup, the hat or any of the other items should check with a local participating store starting Sept. 15, or look for select pieces on Starbucks Shop if they are Rewards members in the U.S.
